Dr. Ruiz has a private practice in legal mental health consultation. She provides services in the following areas:

Forensic Evaluations & Expert Witness

• Standard of care / Peer review
• Provision of mental health and criminal justice services
• Independent Medical Expert, Psychiatry and/or Mental Health
• Fitness for Duty, including complex evaluations for law enforcement and mental health providers
• Fitness for Attendance, including risk assessment on campus

• Psychiatric / Mental Health Autopsy
• Assessment of adequate suicide prevention
